24|7 boiler cover is an insurance policy that can help you with heating or hot water emergencies or breakdowns. Our basic policy covers boiler breakdown, but we also offer insurance policies with more cover such as gas central heating, plumbing, drainage, home security, electrics, and pest control.
Policies are available with different excess levels (from no excess to £95 excess) to suit your budget. An excess is the amount you’ll pay towards each claim. Be careful, however, as not all providers of boiler cover are regulated by the FCA.
We’ve been regulated by the FCA since 2021 so, with our insurance products, you have greater levels of consumer protection and access to the Financial Ombudsman and Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
At some point it’s likely there will be a problem with your boiler, hot water or heating. You could choose to self-insure but this means hoping that you’ll be able to find a tradesperson when you need help and there could be big one-off payments you’ll need to make.
With 24|7 Home Rescue’s boiler cover, you can pay monthly, interest-free and most of our products come with a boiler service in each 12-month period. If you have a problem, you’ll be able to log your claim 24 hours a day.
Our boiler cover is very similar to other forms of insurance you will be used to. You choose the level of cover that meets your needs (for example boiler and gas central heating cover) and the amount of excess you are willing to pay per claim.
A policy with less cover and a higher excess will be cheaper than a policy with more cover and lower excess. You can choose, depending on your cover and budgetary requirements.
Our products are available with or without a boiler service, depending upon your requirements. Our boiler service is a non-insurance element of our products and is designed to give your boiler a health, safety and efficiency check during each 12-month period.
To book your boiler service, simply get in touch with our service booking team or schedule your appointment online through your My Account page. In most cases, you can choose a time that works best for you (subject to availability).
We typically schedule boiler services from April to September, so availability may be more limited during the colder months when we’re focused on emergency repairs and breakdowns.
For your boiler cover, you can select the excess level per claim for your cover. The higher the excess, the lower the amount you pay on a monthly basis. If you make a claim then we will ask you to pay the excess you’ve selected as a contribution towards the cost of the claim.
